One of the most successful publicly listed luxury shopping platforms are expanding several engineering teams and as a result are hiring multiple backend engineers to support the existing PHP/Symfony platform but also support the development of new Golang services, migrating the old to the new.

This globally reaching entity have captured a large portion of market share post Covid and have been growing from strength to strength. Now the plan is to expand with additional developers, 3 to be exact across our two core development sites (Berlin and Barcelona).

With over 2,000 employees across the organisation, this publicly listed team still operate in an agile methodology within the engineer’s team, valuing those that want to contribute not just to feature development but also core architecture and system design.

The role:

The three teams (Order Management, Web and Checkout hiring are part of our core engineering department tasked with full end-to-end deployment on our e-commerce platform. No industry experience required to join these teams although it never hurts!

As three teams are hiring, the specifics within each are slightly different but the core tech stack remains the same: PHP, Symfony, Golang, AWS. As interviews proceed we will understand what you want to achieve and work with you to find the best team that can offer how you wish your career to advance.

Your experience:

• At least 4 years professional development experience across the backend with hands on experience using PHP/Symfony as a minimum.

• Experience developing microservice architecture.

• Knowledge and an interest in TDD environment.

• Ideally you would have build backend services with Golang.

• Strong experience with software design and development in all phases of the      software development process.

• Ideally worked with cross boarder international teams.

• Based in Berlin or Barcelona and willing to travel to the office several times      per week.

• Fluent English speaker (this is mandatory)
